Looking back a couple of weeks, I wanted to write a short blog post about our trip to Ba Na Hills! It all started with just a couple of people who wanted to go, but after some excellent recruiting by some, and reading the Ba Na Hills description from the website, we quickly became a much bigger group – enough to fill a whole maxi-taxi.
Ba Na Hills is one of the bigger attractions in the area around Da Nang, and it is placed up in the mountains about above sea level. It was opened in 2013, but the spot was originally founded as a hill station/resort by French colonists in 1919. For those wondering, this is some of what we were promised:
“Spend your time on the most modern Cable Car in Southeast Asia, visit the 9 gardens, French village, fantasy park and tombstone temple… …enjoy 4D death race, journey into the underground, freefall tower, free games and much more”

So of course we all went, because sometimes it is nice to just act like a tourist!

If only this was Hogwarts…

As I said, we had a lot of fun on this trip doing touristy stuff, like driving bumper cars (Yay!!), eating french-fries wherever we went, walking around with maps of the place, but what I thought was really one of the best things about Ba Na hills, was taking the cable car between the different attractions. Although Ba Na Hills probably couldn’t be any less traditional if they tried, the cable cars really offered a stunning view over untouched land! The scenery was amazing, and when we went back down in the afternoon, the mountains were streaked with gold sunlight – beautiful!

Going down into the French wine cellar, where wine was for display only 😊

Happy people in the rain!

So that was all about our Ba Na Hills adventure! It was definitely worth the trip, and it is something funny to look back on later!
