I have been in Buenos Aires for a month now, and I am beginning to settle in. The pre-course is coming to its end, and we are all preparing for the first day at Universidad Nacional de San Martin. The pre-course in Spanish has been very intense, but we have learned a lot. I must admit I never even dreamed of learning this much in just a month. It definitely gives me hope for the next months here in Buenos Aires.

Even though the weekdays are all about studying, we try to make time for some fun as well. Every Tuesday we all get together for our so-called “Hamburger-Tuesday”. We make hamburgers, potatoes, salads, homemade aioli and guacamole, and so on… Tuesdays are always beautiful evenings on the terrace with great food, wine and endless conversations. On Wednesday some of us go to Tango lessons in the neighbourhood, while others go out to eat or to clubs. In the weekends we have all the time in the world to explore the city. I would highly recommend the Sunday marked in San Telmo, which has lots of beautiful homemade stuff. The marked offers everything from leather notebooks and shoes, to freshly pressed juices and wonderful food. Other things I love to do in the weekends are shopping and dining in Recoleta or Palermo.

Now it’s time for wine tasting course here in Buenos Aires. Stay tuned…
