3 things Ghanaian culture has taught me✏️ 🫂 Ghanaians are very polite, and this is something us Norwegians have learned to be more during our stay here! Greeting people in a proper manner at the store, in a taxi or just in your every day life is so much better than never greeting strangers like most people do in Norway. In Ghana, you always say «Good morning/afternoon/evening» when you meet someone, and many of us students will probably be a bit more polite when we come home after this semester! Furthermore, everyone says «Sir/Ma’am», or «Uncle/Aunty». This is so nice and polite. ⏰ Many Ghanaians are very chill and flexible when it comes to time! Hence the saying «African time»! Most people here are not so stressed as we are in Norway, and we have definitely learned to be more flexible relaxed when it comes to time management! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Ghanian culture has taught me to never use my left hand to point at anything, wave at someone or in general use it. This is a norm/cultural thing that is known in several places all around the world, so it is smart to be aware of it! __________________________________________________
