Samrat S. Kumar

Dr. Samrat S. Kumar is the Director of the Nordic Centre in India (www.nordiccentreindia.com). He has previously been a doctoral research fellow at the Dept. of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages, University of Oslo. He holds a MA in Political Science and a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies. Since 2007 he has worked for Kulturstudier and HiOA as academic programme coordinator. He has also worked for several years for a Human Rights NGO in Austria. He has published a monograph on new approaches to Peace Studies (2010 Transaction Publishers) and co-edited an anthology on Peace and Conflict in South Asia (2014 Cambridge University Press).
