Michael Fryer

Michael Fryer, MA, has been working on conflict resolution issues since 1996 as a lecturer, trainer and facilitator. As well as lecturing on a variety of peace and conflict studies courses, he has designed and delivered workshops around the world with groups ranging from schools and community groups to businesses and the military. Michael has worked extensively in Northern Ireland and on community conflict resolution projects in his native England. In the past few years he has been collaborating with John Paul Lederach in gathering peacebuilding stories (www.theartandsoulofcompassion.com) and in offering retreats for peace practitioners. He has written about the role of creativity, beauty and the arts in conflict situations and is co-founder of The SongStream Project, a nonprofit exploring social issues through the lens of music and memory. He lives in San Diego.
